NOPE Dyno V - 2011

Dear Mark,

Just a note to say thanks for your call and for the NOPE electronics details. I cycled in to UQ from Westlake this morning for the first time on a long route to maximize the cycle track/lanes and was really pleased with the experience of the bike and surprised how little power I’d used from the battery  (coming via Toowong) despite the hills along the way. Clearly, I could have been using the power a lot more than I felt necessary.

I shall start exploring safe but quicker routes (via Indooroopilly it’s only about 16-17km) and a colleague has just told me about Bikely’s route planning site, which sounds even better than just using Google Earth.

All in all, it’s very satisfactory!

Regards,

Peter

Power Ped Mantis Li - 2009

Mark - I want you to know that I am 1000000% happy with my bike.

With my former peddle-power only bicycle I had to alternate between riding in to work and taking public transport home and back in the next day, then riding home, etc.  Now I am able to ride to and from work every day as it requires so much less effort.  I am also able to easily manage the hills around the university when I take the cycle path over the Elinor Schonell bridge.  When I leave home before the traffic I feel confident to ride on the road and go through South Brisbane cemetery and up Highgate Hill quite easily.

I am still getting plenty of exercise as I peddle all the way so I am improving my cardiovascular fitness as well as my muscle tone.

But mostly this bike has given me freedom and increased confidence.  I was constantly in "granny-gear" and struggling to maintain momentum, wobbling all over the place as I became increasingly exhausted.  Now I have that extra "testosterone" power at my right hand to keep me going through the tough spots I am better able to control the bike.  I feel safer although I maintain a very healthy respect for road safety and traffic in particular.  My Mantic Lithium has transformed being older and wiser into an advantage now that I have gained the (electric) power to ride.

Thank you for your help and reliable support.
Cheers,

EMTB Tracker - 2008

"I was seriously considering an alternative means of transport, I was seeking a way to reduce my dependency on oil and petrol. For the time being, while other technologies are being suppressed from us, I figured that electric power would be the choice. I was considering an all out Moped like scooter, but also considered that current technology in electric power is still limited in the range available per battery charge. This range could be greatly enhanced through use of the rail network, but anything resembling a moped like scooter would not be welcomed on a commuter train.

I first met Mark at the West End Markets, a friend brought me to his stall there to look at an electric mountain bike. I took it for a test ride and was reasonably impressed, my only gripe being the 200 watt limit on motor size within Australia. Talking to Mark I got the impression of someone with a passion for change, not someone who was just out to sell bikes. The more I probed about the research and origins of his product the more I felt that this guy is genuine and someone I could trust.

So not to be the impulse buyer, I ummed and arrr'd for a few weeks, making comparisons. I felt there were a few shortfalls in design, but it was clearly pointed out about the limitations of recharging a lithium ion battery on the run. So I bought a bike just before the price rise at the end of October 2008. I wanted a silver one, like the one I had a test ride on, but the only stock in Australia at the time was Black or Blue. So I opted for the Blue, handsome royal blue at that. I warned Mark that this will become my primary mode of transport from here on out, so he appeared happy that I would be an ideal test candidate for this product. BOY! Did that bike see some miles (Sorry K's).

This was a very satisfying outcome and cemented my faith in Mark and the Suppliers he deals with. I have no hesitation in recommending any electro-motive bike and/or other craft from Good Concepts along with all the other green products they sell in their store at Ahimsa House, 26 Horan Street, West End.”

EVO3 Conversion Kit - 2009

I have just purchased your conversion kit through Mark Pelmore in Brisbane http://www.goodconcepts.com.au  . Customer service is so important, in fact, it is what makes a sale. Of course the product one is purchasing is important but if back up support is not there then the product is quite useless.

It is reassuring to know that if one needs enquiry, it is only a phone call away and not a explanation to say 'we only import from China' but don't really know anything about the product we are selling'. And yes, some of the other conversion kits I looked at and phoned, that is what their customer service actually told me that, at least they were honest!  They might have been an initial cheaper purchase but eventually a very 'expensive saving'!!

Your company in Melbourne (Electric Vehicles Pty Ltd) kindly went that extra mile and especially made the conversion kit to include the new motor, which by the way is excellent, thank you.  Being of an electrical background (electrician) I have had a few occasions to call your company over the last couple of months and ask questions.  No matter whom I have spoken to,  I have always received excellent service, and if an immediate answer wasn't available you have always 'put me on hold'; researched and provided whatever info I required.  This has always been given in a helpful friendly manner even though I hadn't yet made my choice of conversion kit.

Mark Pelmore (Good Concepts) in Brisbane has followed up your service in an exemplary manner.  I could not speak highly enough of the service provided by Mark.

I simply wanted to take the time to write and pass on my appreciation. Too often these days we take the time to complain when all around us many good deeds are done.  It seems the 6 o'clock news is full of the 'undone ones' rather than all the abundance of 'good ones'.

With appreciation,
Patrick McCormack

Milton
